1 pound chicken breast

 

8 ounces penne pasta, dried

 

1 tablespoon olive oil

 

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 teaspoon pepper

 

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

 

2 garlic cloves, minced

 

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

 

1/2 cup basil pesto (homemade)

 

1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

Prep

In a medium saucepan cook pasta according to package directions. Set aside.

 

Cut chicken into small pieces. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning.

Step 1

Preheat a large skillet over medium heat, add oil and cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Set aside.

Step 2

To the same skillet add butter, garlic, and cook on low heat for 30 seconds.

Step 4

Add cream, Parmesan, pesto, and whisk until all ingredients are combined.

Step 5

Add chicken and cooked pasta, mix well.

 

Cook for 3 minutes.

Step 6

Sprinkle with cheese before serving.
